Abstract Submission

The Organising and Scientific Committee of the 11th Conference of the European Committee for the Conservation of Bryophytes kindly invites all interested bryologists to submit their abstracts, either for oral or poster presentation.

Authors have to fill in the Abstract Submission Form bellow and state the preferred way of presentation. In case of too many submitted oral presentations, the Organizing and Scientific Committee reserves the right to change the form of the presentation.

Abstract guidelines

Please submit your abstract in English, in one paragraph of maximum 300 words. No references should be cited in the abstract. Abbreviations should be avoided, but if they have to be used, they must be defined the first time they are used. The Abstract should summarize the study or topic presented and include the introduction, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.

Presenting authors (oral or poster) are kindly requested to complete payment of the early bird registration fee by 15th March 2026.

Presentations

The official language of the Congress is English, and all participants are kindly invited to prepare their presentation in English.

Oral presentations

The participants will have 15 minutes available for their presentations, followed by five-minute discussion.

Kindly ensure that presentations are provided to the Conference technical staff on a USB memory stick at least 15 minutes prior to the start of each session. Presentations should be prepared in Microsoft PowerPoint or PDF format.

Poster presentation

Presenters are encouraged to prepare handouts of their posters. The size of the poster should not exceed 90 x 120 cm (width x height).

Fill in using the following capitalization: 1st Name(s) SURNAME(s); 2nd Name(s) SURNAME(s), etc.
Keep as simple as possible and list consecutively in respect to author list: 1 – Institution name, (Town), Country (e.g. 1 – University of Cagliari, Italy); 2 – Institution name, (Town), Country etc.
Fill in using the following capitalization: Name(s), SURNAME(s)
Make sure e-mail is spelled correctly
Presentation
Maximum 300 words in Sentence case (capitalize only proper nouns) NOTE that abstracts longer 300 words be cut by the on-line form
